God is a Heretic

The more I listen to Jim Brown, the more I like him. If you're one of God's Elect, you'll find this a breath of fresh air:

How long did you last...?

  1. The Hebrew word שָׂנֵאתִי (shaneti) means I hated (same with εμίσησα in the septuagint), but it's a Hebrew and Aramaic idiom which means "to like less" like when Jesus says "whoever does not hate his mother or father". He was speaking in Aramaic which means "whoever doesn't like their parents less than me"

  2. The word שָׂנֵאתִי is not an idiom meaning "I hate less". It means "I hate". The NT was recorded in Greek because God was bringing the "Light" to the Gentiles. The word recorded in Luke 14:26 is μισέω and it doesn't mean "I hate less" either; it means "I find detestable". You are just trying to find some way to make your god-who-loves-everyone fit the God of the Bible.

And regardless, the ones God hates, however you define it, He created to end up in Hell. That's why He doesn't give them faith in Jesus.

Do you imagine the word ἀγαπάω (agapao) means to like a lot, too?
